Quick Start
Get your first backup running in 5 minutes!
Prerequisites
- EcomSec Backup Professional installed and activated
- Plugin configured (see Installation)
Step 1: Navigate to Backups
- Log in to your Shopware Administration
- Go to EcomSec Backup > Backups in the main menu
Step 2: Create Your First Backup
- Click the Backup erstellen button
- Choose Full Backup (recommended for first backup)
- Enable Compression (recommended)
- Enable Encryption (recommended for production)
- Click Erstellen
Step 3: Monitor Progress
The backup will now run in the background. You can:
- See the progress in the backup list
- Check the status (Running → Completed)
- View the file size once completed
Typical duration: 10-30 minutes for a Full Backup
Step 4: Verify the Backup
Once completed:
Check the file:
- Go to your backup directory (e.g.,
/var/backups) - Verify the backup file exists
- Check the file size is reasonable

Check the Audit Log:
- Go to EcomSec Backup > Audit Log
- Verify the "backup_created" entry
- Status should be "Success"
