Quick Start

Get your first backup running in 5 minutes!

Prerequisites

• EcomSec Backup Professional installed and activated
• Plugin configured (see Installation)

Step 1: Navigate to Backups

1. Log in to your Shopware Administration
2. Go to EcomSec Backup > Backups in the main menu

Step 2: Create Your First Backup

1. Click the Backup erstellen button
2. Choose Full Backup (recommended for first backup)
3. Enable Compression (recommended)
4. Enable Encryption (recommended for production)
5. Click Erstellen

Step 3: Monitor Progress

The backup will now run in the background. You can:

• See the progress in the backup list
• Check the status (Running → Completed)
• View the file size once completed

Typical duration: 10-30 minutes for a Full Backup

Step 4: Verify the Backup

Once completed:

1. Check the file:

   • Go to your backup directory (e.g., /var/backups)
   • Verify the backup file exists
   • Check the file size is reasonable

2. Check the Audit Log:

   • Go to EcomSec Backup > Audit Log
   • Verify the "backup_created" entry
   • Status should be "Success"
